This Blog is dedicated to our beloved Fr. Pucci.

Dear Barnabite Fathers,
Family Members,
Parishioners of St. James,
and Friends of Fr. PUCCI:

Greetings in the LORD of LIFE!

It was Saturday morning, Dec 11, 2010, when Fr. Frank Ruzza   informed me about the sudden death of our dear Barnabite confrere, Fr. Augusto Mary Pucci. I felt a deep sense of loss at hearing the sad news. The oldest member of our North American Province - the “patriarch” of the Province – has passed away in peace.

As Catholics, we believe that DEATH never had and never will have the last word.  The last word belongs to God, the God of life, and the God of love. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (Jn 3, 16) Strengthen by these words we dare to stand at the casket not as fearful and downcast people, but as people who hope that the one who died is alive in the LORD.

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Rom 8, 38-39) It is true that nothing - even death - can separate us from the people we love and esteem, like Fr. Pucci.

The FR. AUGUSTO M. PUCCI, CRSP BLOG was created for you to share your stories and memories of Fr. Pucci, stories and memories of him which have become a precious part of your life. Make it known then to all what great things the LORD has done to you through Fr. Pucci.

Sincerely in Christ,
Very Rev. Robert B. Kosek, CRSP, Ph.D.
(Provincial Superior-North American Province)

P.S. For your convenience you may also e-mail your stories and memories
to barnabitespiritualcenter@gmail.com.  Thank you.

A fond parishner, who lives almost 5000 km away remembers you with love and affection. Arrivederci Padre Pucci. Because it is never good-bye when we leave this life, although it saddens us to part temporarily.

As a very young child, attending St. James school, having mass in the autotorium, while our church was being built,as an altar boy,and mass was Latin,Father Pucci always brought a warm presence to our catechism lessons, and taught in way that we could understand as children.
Father Pucci attributes were many, but his humour was what I remembered and enjoyed most.If you didn't get it,well,he gave back his warm smile which in turn he was saying, just think about it, you will understand.
Rest with Love father, and rightfully take your place that our Lord Jesus has prepared for you. Victor Santangelo Jr.

I belong to St. Michael but love coming to St. James. I did not know Fr. Pucci very well. I made his acquaintance only in the last 3 to 4 years. He amazed me when he celebrated mass. Despite all the challenges he faced, he celebrated with such enthusiam and love for Jesus, and gave his homily with such profound faith and understanding of what is expected of us Christians/Catholics. His memory of all the prayers and rites at Mass never failed him. He was God's chosen until the very end. May his soul rest in peace and our prayers are with him.

Father Pucci
Was a Priest and a man that all men should aspire to,he was steadfast in his devotion to his faith and commitment to the Church.
A role model and example to us all in an age of tremedous sin and vice, that we must pray and seek the Lord and his invitation to all of us to be holy and like father Pucci courageous and never give up along the pathway to heaven.
Thankyou so very much
Father Pucci for all your hard work
and love you gave to us
